This typical, 150 years old farm house is set on a hill facing the well-known Monte Labro. Due to its exposed location, this cottage provides a wonderful view of the fascinating Tuscan landscape. In its beautiful garden, there are open and roof-topped terraces, an oval pool with a grotto (4 x 4 m) and integrated summer kitchen, a water fall, outside shower and sitting and sunbathing areas. The holiday home is furnished tastefully in the Tuscan cottage style. The owners have restored it very lovingly to create a charming and cosy atmosphere. Due to a modern central heating system, good insulation, thermo-protecting windows and the homely fireplaces the house is also very suitable for the cooler season. Shops can be found in the historic village of Santa Fiora which is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in the area of Monte Amiata. The nearby restaurant Barilotto has been awarded with one Michelin star.

Monte Amiata
Tuscany is probably the most famous region in Italy. The characteristic hills and cypress alleys have already been layed out and cultivated by the Etruscans and Romans. The special zest of Tuscan landscape, however, is it's versatility. The Apennine Mountains, overgrown with chestnut trees, make up an interesting contrast to the gentle rolling hills between Florence and Sienna that are typical for Tuscany. The numerous small, partly Etruscan villages that are enthroned on the hilltops, are quite impressive. The travel season lasts the whole year, and each season has it's own special colours and atmosphere. Visitors interested in culture will find many art treasures in cities like Florence, Pisa or Sienna, which have made Tuscany one of the most famous cultural centres in the world.
