Casa Anna is situated on a piazza named after the beautiful church, Santo Spirito. The piazza has been lovingly planted with trees and equipped with benches and a fountain. Although located in an ancient neighborhood, its narrow streets are alive with the work of artisans and artists and with crowded bars of young Florentines. The holiday apartment is an ideal starting point for sightseeing tours in Florence, because most of the sights are within walking distance. Casa Anna is tastefully furnished and decorated with nice antiques.

Florence, the capital of Tuscany, certainly ranks among the architecturally most important cities of the world. Founded in 59 ac, the city has been a thriving cultural center of Europe for hundreds of years. The marks of this era can still be seen everywhere. Some of the major sights are the cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore form the 13th century, Ponte Vecchio, the eldest bridge in town, which is bordered by medieval buildings, and Piazza della Signoria, where a copy of Michelangelo's David has been put up. The Uffizi Gallery, one of the most famous galleries in the world, shows numerous important works of art. A walk out of the city centre and up on a hill to the Piazzale Michelangelo is recommendable. From there, one can enjoy stunning views of the Old Town, the cupola of the cathedral, the river Arno and Ponte Vecchio.
