Situated in a 5 hectares park, the Castle La Colle Noire in the Provence countryside dominates the valley and the beautiful landscape. A part of the building, namely the square towers date back to the 15th century. Others go back to the 18th century, when the bishops of Grasse built a chapel (which nowadays is used for weddings). Fashion designer Christian Dior lived here in the 50ties and renovated and enlarged the castle with lots of love and taste. 1 kilometer away from lake Saint Cassien offering splendid water sports facilities, only half an hour drive to Cannes and some 60 minutes drive to Nice International Airport, this castle is an ideal hideaway! It is shared on three levels of 400 sqm each. It offers various bedrooms, some like a suite with a separate living area and bathroom, and some are smaller and quite simple, yet charming. There are several halls and living areas with spacious terraces.
Modern equipment, such as a telephone communication center with a phone in each room of the house, central heating, alarmsystem, satellite TV, VCR and big-size-screen TV and a functional office with fax and internet are available. Two kitchens, one with separate entrance for your own or hired staff can easily cater up to 30 persons and more. In the garden, one finds the big bassin and some stairs below a well maintained tennis-court. The swimming pool of 12x8 meters in size is appr. 50 meters away from the main building. Chateau de la Colle Noire is a perfect holiday location but also suitable for events. For weekly rentals, the change over day is either on Wednesday or Thursday and the minimum rental period is one week. Short term "weekend rentals" for weddings, receptions, etc of 2 or 4 days can be arranged. Please inquire for rates and conditions. Staff can be arranged on supplemental costs according to the tenant's requirements.
