Set in the heart of Etruscan Maremma, just a few minutes drive from Pitigliano, Lake Bolsena and the health-giving spring waters of Terme di Saturnia, "Relais Antica Dogana" is the perfect holiday home for those seeking tranquillity and relaxation. As Maremma is so full of historical and archaeological places to explore, a stay at this very beautiful country house means countless opportunities for fascinating expeditions - not to mention the chance to experience the health vacation of a lifetime. The property consists of two buildings, the Il Casale with the two apartments Quercia and Mandorlo, first built in 1800, retaining it's original and wonderfully ivy-coloured exterior, and Torre di Guardia, obtained by fully renovating and enlarging a former cottage, itself hewn from the walls of an ancient, thirteenth-century guard tower.
Il Casale features two separate holiday apartments, each with its own entrance, central heating, high-class fittings and furnishings. They will not be rented separately from Torre di Guardia. Relais Antica Dogana`s two houses look out over almost twenty acres of vineyards, olive groves, cypress and fruit trees. The grounds also contain a private swimming pool and hard surface tennis court. Shops and restaurants can be found in Pitigliano. The coast is approximately 55 km away, Lake Bolsena 30 km.

Pitigliano lies in the heart of Maremma and captivates by it's picturesque architecture. The antique, well-preserved village with it's medieval structures has many cosy squares and alleys with typical trattorias. Maremma stretches from the southern coast of Tuscany as far as the feet of Monte Amiata. Coastlines like Punta Ala or Monte Argentario are particularly charming due to their small marinas and long sandy beaches. In the interior of Maremma, there are a number of Etruscan sights, like the towns of Massa Marittima, Saturnia with it's world-famous hot springs and Magliano in Toscana.
