Villa Rikia is situated about 15 km north of Pylos, 10 km from Gargaliani and 65 km from the airport at Kalamata. The vacation villa, designed in authentic Byzantine style, was completed in 1983 within an olive tree plantation. The characteristic furnishings are of superior quality, complete with colour T.V., stereo, washing machine and dishwasher. Here, everything is on hand for a perfect holiday.

The living room also has two extra fitted divan-style beds if required. In the spacious garden surrounding the house there is a rich offering of vegetables and fruit trees for guests to pick from. The garden also offers a grill, an outdoor oven and plenty of nice shady corners to enjoy relaxing and peaceful evenings. Butter, eggs and cheese can be bought from the nearby farms and other shopping facilities can be found at Gargaliani. The sandy beach nearby is 4 km long and therefore even in high season its not crowded.

The south-western part of the Peloponnes is called Messinia. The capital and the largest port of Messinia is Kalamata, which is known in Greece for the folk dance "Kalamatianos" and the famous silk shawls. There is an airport which is served by several charter airlines. Messinia, the "fruitful land of Euripides", is rich in water. Everywhere, there are sources watering grasslands, feedlots and green hills. The spring is full of flowers, the summers are long but not too hot. The coast consits of beautiful, long beaches and small villages located directly at the sea. The region is perfect for sunbathers and beach lovers. But also important sights like the castle of Kalamata and the antique town of Olympia can be reached easily from here.
