The holiday home Villa Il Sogno is located close to Trasimeno Lake, on the border between Tuscany and Umbria. Built entirely in local stone, the house is situated in a wonderful position dominating the surrounding countryside characterized by olive groves. The rental villa is surrounded by a well kept garden with lawns and a beautiful 6x12 meter swimming pool with ample garden furniture and fantastic views. Near to the pool there is an annex with a small kitchen for the pool use, a BBQ and a ping pong table. Exquisitely furnished, the holiday home combines the typical Umbrian ambience of wood beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and yellow walls with modern amenities. The main entrance of the holiday home has been obtained below a big arch, leading to the old bread baking room, where there is the ancient wood oven, for baking bread and pizza, still working. All of the house is air conditioned, and also has an internet connection. On the ground floor there is a dining room with a fireplace, which opens onto a terrace with a pergola offering panoramic views. A lovely kitchen well equipped with 4 flames, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, an Italian coffee machine is next to the dining room. Nearby is a utility room with washing machine and ironing corner. Divided only by an arch from the dining-room there is a spacious living room. There are two stairs to the upper floor; one is external and one internal, both leading to the second living-room with entertainment corner featuring satellite TV, stereo with CD, DVD player and internet connection. On the right of the living-room there is a particular large bedroom, comparable to a suite. Entering the room there is a nice private living-room with double sofa-bed and a bathroom with a shower/WC. Wooden stairs lead up to an open-gallery with a romantic double bed and an antique bath tub, giving this bedroom a special fascinating atmosphere. From the upper TV-room a long corridor develops with 5 spacious double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. One is a twin bedded room with bath and shower, 2 are double bedrooms with queen-sized bed (that can be separated) and bath with shower and the last 2 are double bedrooms with queen-sized bed and bath with tub. Each room is designed differently with maximum intention to the original character, with pleasant colours, two of them with a canopy-bed. Each bathroom is equipped with hair-dryer. The nearby villages have kept their medieval character and they invite to explore their charming "centro storico" and the cafes and restaurants. Ristorante Da Massimo in Magione is highly recommended due to the lovely cusine with fresh fish from Lake Trasimeno. Bakeries, shops and supermarkets are found in Agello, Magione and of course in Perugia. On request and supplemental cost, the custodian of the villa, who´s family runs an own restaurant in a village nearby, can cater the guests according to their required service.
