This impressive finca in Banyalbufar was built more than 300 years ago. The German owner has recently reconstructed it extensively and with great attention to detail and turned the house into an exclusive holiday home. Typical for the cliffy west coast, the terraced property nestles up against the hillside. The impressive Tramuntana Mountains are located on one side, whereas one can enjoy great sea views on the other. The estate and the house are subdivided into three levels. The rooms of this finca are very spacious and many of them offer a fantastic view over the sea. Majorcan antiques as well as paintings and pieces of art, that were chosen with an assured sense of style, add an individual character to the house.
The classy interior along with the vintage terracotta floors and the wooden entablature emphasize the Mediterranean ambience of the finca. This holiday residence is not modern, but during the reconstruction great attention was payed to obtain its traditional character and charme. However there is nothing to be desired. The bathrooms are very modern and the finca offers Sat-TV with a beamer and screen as well as Wi-Fi. Floor heating gives cosy temperatures on cooler days during the spring and autumn. The aircondition is rarely used due the thick walls of the old stone finca. There are furnished terraces on every level of the house, so both shady and sunny places can be found at every time of the day. The 10 x 5 m large pool was newly constructed in 2008 and is located on the middle deck. A BBQ house with a summer kitchen is situated a little aside of the pool. Here, groceries from the local town markets can be prepared for a delicious meal watching the sunset. The caretaker tends the garden and maintains the pool on a regular base whereas a maid will take care of the house on wednesdays and saturdays. On request and upon supplemental cost, she is able to come over more often and will also prepare breakfast or dinner. The closest shops and restaurants can be reached afoot in Banalbufar.
