Owned by an aristocratic family since the 17th century, this historic estate, on the island of Cephalonia (Greece) offers an elegant manor house for holiday lettings to discerning travelers. The estate blends the ongoing agricultural activity with regional tradition and culture, while it combines the authenticity of the past with the art of good living. Special care is taken in order to preserve the natural surroundings. The area around the olive mill has been planted with indigenous trees, flower bushes and shrubs of the Greek flora. These, together with the existing ancestral olive trees and Italian cypresses form a pleasant Mediterranean landscape. The painstakingly restored estate consists of a 19th century stone olive mill and its old oil press room, a 25.000 sqm olive grove with trees more than 400 years old and recently built Olive Grove Villa.

Olive Grove Villa, which was recently created and exquisitely designed, provides accommodation for up to 6 guests.This exceptional villa, with its terracota roof made out of old tiles and decorated with top quality fittings and collector's items, offers a panoramic vista to an undulating valley of olive groves and to the clear blue Ionian sea. It has its private, Tuscan style swimming pool, which extends right into the terrace of the house and together with the beautiful garden and lush greenery that surrounds it, provides a frame for the natural beauty of the place. The live-in chambermaid comes 6 days a week.

Cephalonia
Kefalonia is largest of the Ionian Islands, but less popular than the neighbouring island Korfu. The picturesque island is a quiet destination, far apart from mass tourism and allures with dreamlike, golden beaches and the clear, turquoise water. Kefalonia does not only offer a paradise for seaside vacationers, also nature enthusiasts and hikers are drawn to the island. The mild Mediterranean climate is accountable for the beautiful and multifaceted vegetation of the island. The island´s national park with the remarkable fir forests on Mount Ainos, the many lakes and the rivers are frequently visited destinations. An outstanding attraction is Lake Melissani, a subterranean lake in a stalactite cave. Besides Greek specialities, the local cuisine is mainly dominated by Italian influences. Kefalonia´s captiol is Argostoli. The city was destroyed in an earthquake in 1953 and obtained a modern cityscape later on. Argostoli is also the starting point for the bus lines, that distend all over the island. Small shops, restaurants and cosy tavernas add an adorable charme to the city. Tiny villages and scenic towns, in the white and blue Greek style are allocated all over the beautiful island.
