Costa dei Gabbiani, the "coast of the silver gulls", is a green and unspoiled plateau (218 m) at the southeast end of the island Elba. The holiday village is situated in the centre of this plateau. Approximately 450 hectares of forest cover the slopes down to the sea, where guests of Costa die Gabbiani can enjoy private beaches. The coastline covers 12 km, where small beaches and bays alternate with steeply rocks. The holiday village offers a variety of accommodation: the ancient master villa, tastefully adapted to a small hotel; apartments that are placed in the farm houses „Fattorias“ as well as small villas, amongst the pines forests, facing the sea. All villas are furnished very tastefully.
Due to the nice interior and the functional equipment the vacation apartments are very comfortable. Guests have access to the sea on private paths. A small supermarket and a restaurant in the village provide the welfare of the guests. A wide range of sports activities are offered: 3 tennis courts, 1 pool, horse riding, mountain bike rental, table tennis, diving courses, sailing, windsurfing and training course for golf. A baby club hosts the children (from June until mid September), while parents enjoy their activities or relax. Rates from 79 EUR/day

Elba
Elba lies about 10 km west from the Etruscan coast and is Italy's third largest island. Deep blue, clear water, white sandy beaches and rocky bays, combined with the evergreen Macchia, Eucalyptus and cork trees make up Elba`s fascination. Numerous charming bathing bays along nearly some 150 km of coast line, washed round by the blue, green or turquoise waters of the sea, are waiting to be discovered. Napoleon never experienced his exile on Elba as a banishment, and during his stay in 1814/15, he set up many panoramic routes, vineyards and historic buildings. Elba's highest mountain, Monte Capanne (1014 m), offers beautiful hiking trails from which one can enjoy magnificent views of the coast line. On a clear day, the view reaches as far as to the surrounding islands, Corse and the Italian mainland. Getting there: Ferry from Piombino or Livorno, flights from German airports via Stuttgart or Cologne on Fridays and Saturdays
