Villa Panormo is a luxurious private 2-storey holiday house, quietly positioned in the traditional village of Melidoni, some 7 km from Bali and 50 km west of Heraklion. The village of Melidoni with its historical atmosphere is well known for its impressive cave named “Gerontospilios”. The house is surrounded by large grounds of 4000 sqm mostly with olive and orange trees, colorful flowers and a small garden with vegetables that can be used by guests. This 200 sqm villa is suitable for 8-10 people. There is a 60 sqm swimming pool with children´s pool surrounded by sun beds and umbrellas. Also a built-in barbecue with traditional oven and a large stone table with wooden benches create a perfect private setting for relaxing and dining al fresco. Villa Panormo is designed in traditional Cretan style with high-beamed ceilings and furnished to a comfortable, high standard. On the ground floor there is a spacious open plan living/dining area with open stone fireplace, TV and one built-in sofa bed along with a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher.
Next, there are two bedrooms, one with double bed and ensuite bathroom with tub/WC, the other with twin beds. Further on this floor, there are a shower/WC, and a small utility room with washing machine, ironing board and iron. A marble staircase leads to the upper floor where there is a large living area with a sofa bed, TV, and two more bedrooms, one with twin beds, the other with a four poster double bed and en suite bathroom. There is also a shower/WC, and a lobby area with small refrigerator and basin, also two large verandas, one of which offering views over the pool and countryside, the other one facing the rear gardens. Other facilities of this holiday home include stereo, central heating (at an extra charge), and two bicycles. The nearest beach can be found at Bali. Tavernas, kafenions, a mini-market and bakery can all be found in Melidoni. The village of Perama is 4 km away and offers a larger variety of shops and tavernas. We recommend to rent a car.
