Located in the Caribbean, Jamaica is an independent, English speaking state within the Commonwealth of Nations and belongs to the Greater Antilles. In the bigger cities like the capitol Kingston with its unique natural harbour, tourists and inhabitants cavort and enjoy the sights and shopping facilities. The neighbouring city Spanish Town with its impressive buildings is also worth a visit. Montego Bay features Jamaica´s biggest export harbour. Port Antonio is an insider tip. The idyllic port is far apart from mass tourism and offers scenic beaches and untouched nature. The Blue Lagoon also procures a breathtaking atmosphere with its three shades of blue and the introspective location. Besides many hotels the island offers numerous holiday homes and villas, some of them right at the water, which exhibit a unique ambience for a luxurious vacation. Jamaica´s airports are situated in Kingston, Negril, Port Antonio, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
