The traces left behind by the Phoenicians, Romans, Greeks and Arabs remind us that they were earlier visitors to the Costa del Sol. Today, people come to the sunny, southern ‘Sun Coast´ because of it's mild, moderate climate, which makes it feel like spring the whole year round. Here, the average annual temperature is 18°C and the deep blue sky is nearly always cloud-free. Part of the appeal of the Costa del Sol is also it's richly contrasting landscape. Towns such as Malaga and Marbella, as well as small villages such as Benalmadena Puebla or Mijas offer a vast variety of attractions to the active or culturally interested visitor.
